Visiting My Lovely Parents

During a week in September, 2011 I went to a small little town in Sweden called Olofström to visit my family and to spend some quality time with people that are dear to me. There is no greater feeling than putting your arms around your family members, be in the full house of people who love each other, and just be there for each other. There are so many things in life that might change us, but we all start with the family.

I had a wonderful time with my dear parents who I love and adore so much. They are the best parents in the Universe. It is true that we cannot choose our parents, brothers and sisters. We just get them when we get born. I am so blessed that I have such wonderful parents, and if I could choose who my parents would be, I would still choose my dear mom and dad. They have given me so much love, joy, happiness and everything I have ever wanted in life, and every time we meet we feel love and happiness around us. It is a feeling that I cannot describe, and there are no words in all books combined that can describe the wonderful feelings I have about my dear mom and dad, and how much I love them. I love them with all of my heart. They have given me all I can possibly ask for and so much more, and I take every opportunity to give back to them as much as I can in any possible way I can think off so I can make them happy, and let them know how much they mean to me.

My lovely brother is someone who I would do anything for. He is a great brother and a friend who I love very much. His little son, my little dear nephew is so adorable, and I love him like my own. It is so cute when he says “I love my uncle”, and he is only 4 years young. I am so blessed and lucky to be surrounded with such extraordinary people, and every time I come and visit, they give me unconditional love that can make me believe that anything is possible.

It was a great and memorable visit, and I cannot wait to see them again very soon.

To Travel Is To Live

Most of my friends already know that I love traveling, and this is something that I truly live for. I travel because I want to explore different amazing and extraordinary places, to meet fabulous people from all over the world, to be more aware of the cultures of others as well as of my own, to learn, to see, to explore. Last night I was watching the “Amazing Race” show (a show where couples travel around the world, compete against each other resolving different clues to continue on their journey), and while they were in Copenhagen, Denmark, one of the clues was to memorize a poem of Worlds famous Danish author, poet, and fairy tale writer, Hans Christian Andersen, who among many others remarkable fairy tale stories also wrote “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, “The Princess and the Pea”, “The Little Mermaid” and “The Ugly Duckling”. These children stories remain even today very popular and are widely read across the globe.

The poem that H. C. Andersen wrote is so true and so beautiful.

“To move, to breath, to fly, to float,

To gain all while you give, to roam the roads of lands remote.

To travel is to live.” – H. C. Andersen

Nobody could express it more beautifully than Hans Christian Andersen. “To Travel is to Live” is said so perfectly perfect.

Sister Act on Broadway

Sister Act on Broadway

On November 19^th, 2011 I went to see a Broadway musical “Sister Act” in New York City, which was heavenly funny, entertaining, glittery, and when I left the show I felt extremely happy with lots of great memories. This Broadway musical is for the audience of all ages. The Tony nominee Patina Miller, who was playing the lead character Deloris Van Cartier was absolutely amazing and stunning. I highly recommend “Sister Act” musical, and I am sure you will have fun.

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert on Broadway

On October 29th, 2011 I went to see a Broadway musical “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” in New York City, which was extremely funny, entertaining, glittery, and when I left the show I felt extremely happy with lots of great memories. It was a real joy to see this musical and I cannot wait to see it soon again. The cast was extremely funny and great. The musical was very touching and enjoyable. It was a perfectly fabulous Broadway musical.

5.9 magnitude earthquake in Washington, DC area

Around 2pm today on this very beautiful day of August 23, 2011 a 5.9 magnitude earthquake rocked the nation’s capital, Washington DC. I was sitting in the office, working, and suddenly I felt something shaking. My desk was shaking. At first it was a small shake, then after a few seconds it was bigger and louder shake and the entire building started to move. We all looked at each other, and realized that it was an earthquake. People started to run and go out of the building. I was shocked for a moment, and remembered that I should stand under the door, but unfortunately the building is very old and standing under the door and be inside is not a good idea, so I started to run out as well. The rocking stopped after about 30 seconds, and we all returned to our desks. This was my first earthquake after over 20 years, and I got little scared. The earthquake was apparently the biggest earthquake on the East coast in decades, and it was felt all the way to Toronto and Chicago.

What came to my mind is that there are so many things that I still would like to do and accomplish in my life, I thought about my loved ones, my dearest parents and how I cannot wait to see them in just about 10 days. Life is so unpredictable and one never knows what the next moment brings, and therefore we should always tell our loved ones how much we love and appreciate them.

The past weekend I was at home in New York City and spent two days shopping for presents for my parents, and looking so forward do see them soon. This earthquake scared me, and I am glad it is over now. I just hope that the hurricane Irene that is coming from Atlantic will pass and not hit the land.

A day to remember

Today was a very important and extraordinary day for me. It is very hard to explain the feeling about the events that happened today in my life, and all the words in all the books could not express how happy I am today. Friends are very important and I am very lucky and blessed in life having a great, extraordinary and wonderful friend that I can be myself with and share all the good and bad with. Today, August 22, 2011, was an amazing day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and everyone around me seemed to be happy. Although certain things are better to be unsaid, I just wanted the world to know how happy I am. Although, there were lots of negative and bad things happening in my life lately, like for example the subtenant who didn’t pay the rent for five (5) months, and on top of that he stole my furniture from my apartment in New York City, and made my life miserable, I still am very happy, lucky and blessed with a great health, which is the most important thing of all things.

Miami Ultra Music Festival

Miami is hosting the Ultra Music Festival this weekend, and some of my friends from Germany came to be part of this 3 day mega party and celebrate it with thousands of people and to dance to the music that some of the famous DJs are spinning. The entire weekend was extraordinary and we had so much fun. People are dancing everywhere, on the beach, in the ocean, on the streets, under the tents that were specially built for the Ultra Music Festival, and everyone is having a blast. The streets were full with people and it was very difficult to find the parking.

This was my very first Ultra Music Festival and I have enjoyed it very much. There was not so much sleep though. The weather was great. The music was fierce. I could not stop dancing. The key thing is to know what DJ is playing when and where. Having a program will help one to get the best out of the Ultra Music Festival.

The Ultra Music Festival is during the day and starts from noon till midnight, and then it is time to go clubbing. The clubs were also playing great music. The experience is overwhelming and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

What a Wonderful Day

Today was one of the best days since I moved here to Miami. After completing my work tasks for the day I drove to South Beach to meet somebody who actually I met last night at one of the clubs in South Beach. It was very refreshing to find somebody who you can talk to about anything in life and have a great conversation with.
We went to Nikki beach late in the afternoon; the sun was still up, the air was hot, and we were lying on the sand beach by the crystal clear and blue ocean. We discussed about everything, our dreams, plans, goals and ambitions. The conversation was very rewarding, learning and spontaneous. As the Chinese proverb says: “A single conversation across the table with a wise person is worth a month’s study of books”

The time just flew by and before we knew it was time for dinner. We went to eat a burger on Lincoln Road and afterwards we saw the movie, “Limitless”, which was by the way a good and very interesting movie. The entire day was wonderful and very memorable. Of course there is no such thing as a worthless conversation as long as you know what to listen for, and what questions to ask.
